Jeep Tour

Jeep Tour in an extended custom Jeep® Wrangler with plexi glass roof. The jeep will pick you up from your cabins at Nantahala Cabins in the Nantahala Gorge. A back-country ride awaits you on the roads less traveled in one of our specialty Jeeps. Experience colorful history and natural beauty while sitting back and leaving the driving to us. Allow two and a half hours for your experience. Children must weigh 40 pounds.

Are you clever? Do you like to solve problems? Are you ready for an exhilarating challenge? Then you’ll love our escape room experiences!

Your group will be transported to a different world when you step inside the escape room. The fully themed experience will immerse you in the storyline as you get briefed on your objective. Explore the room to find clues, crack codes, and solve puzzles in order to complete the objective and “escape” from the room.

Be sure to watch the clock because your time is limited! The better you can communicate and work together, the faster you can complete your objective.

We have two rooms, Pharaoh’s Revenge an Egyptian Tomb theme, and Mayday a submarine themed room.  Our rooms were designed by Disney Imagineers and are totally immersive.

Tsali Recreation Area

  • Most of the activity is centered on the Tsali (pronounced SAH-lee) Trail System about 15 miles west of Bryson City, an area that has gained a national reputation as one of the finest mountain biking trail systems in the country. Biking magazines constantly rate Tsali among the best biking areas in the country. Tsali Recreation Area in the Nantahala National Forest – opened April – October
  • While Swain County attracts some of the world’s best mountain bikers, you don’t have to be a near professional to enjoy the sport. There are places, Bryson City Bicycles, where mountain bikes can be rented and almost anyone can enjoy this novel way of seeing the mountains.
  • There are many miles of uncrowded country roads, many designated as bike routes, to be explored and enjoyed. So, if you have a bike, bring it, if not you can rent one when you get here. It could be the best part of your mountain vacation.

Mountain Fire Tail in Cherokee, NC

The Fire Mountain Trails are Cherokee’s newest source for big adventure—a multiuse trail system that’s made to mountain bike, hike, or run. The network of trails is more than 10.5 miles total, so there’s plenty of room for everyone to recreate safely, responsibly…and flowy?

That’s right—if you like your trails with a nice flow of features, with fun berms and quick hits of elevation that are manageable and fun, Fire Mountain is made for you. You’ll find tables, rock gardens, and blinds for those who know, along with single-track and wider sections, spots that are smooth and fast, and trails that invite the more technically accomplished with options for those less so. The trailhead is located about 100 yards from the Oconaluftee Indian Village in Cherokee and shares a parking lot. The trails interlace through the nearby Great Smoky Mountains, so you already know the views and terrain will take your breath away, even if your recreation of choice doesn’t!

Is it the flowiest trail in the east? Better than Ridgeline? Trails are free of charge, and open every day, all day.

This trip is especially good if you have small children. Nantahala Village Riding Stables offers a fun, family friendly, horseback riding experience. Trail riding for the experienced or just a beginner. Ride scenic mountain trails in the Nantahala National Forest overlooking Lake Fontana and the Great Smokey Mountains National Park.

Tubing in Deep Creek, Bryson City

One of the most beautiful areas in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park is just a few minutes outside Bryson City. Deep Creek – known for waterfalls, trails, swimming and tubing, and fly fishing – has more fun things to do than any other area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. So come for a visit and explore the many wonders of Deep Creek!

Deep Creek trail was one of the first trails constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the newly legislated National Park in the early 1930s. The current Deep Creek Campground was also the site of the Deep Creek CCC Camp from 1933 to 1936.

There are several places that rents tubs for $2-$3 per day in Bryson City at Deep Creek. You can enjoy a day tubing Deep Creek. There are grills and picnic tables in Deep Creek.

Bryson City departure to the Nantahala Gorge and return. Depart from the historic depot (built in the
mid-1800’s). The 44-mile round trip provides views of the Smoky Mountains from a 791-foot trestle
on piers 179-feet high over Fontana Lake. At the Gorge, the Nantahala River is a whitewater mecca
for rafting, canoeing, and kayaking. One-hour layover for viewing scenery and whitewater activity.

Appalachian Evening Concert

Artists perform on stage in our 300 seat air-conditioned auditorium every Saturday evening late June through Labor Day weekend. All performances start at 7:30 pm

Each Pleasure Flight lasts approximately one hour and the cost is $300.00 per person.
